Skye Precious Kids Care Kits Project
Sep. 15, 2026 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Families caring for children with significant medical needs often face challenges that extend far
beyond medical appointments and treatment. Essential supplies, hygiene resources, child
engagement items, and caregiver support can create additional financial and emotional
pressures.
Through this project, 50 families will receive tangible support and encouragement from their
community. Each care kit represents more than donated items—it represents a reminder to
families that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
The partnership also provides Rotary Alpharetta members with a firsthand opportunity to
connect with the mission of Skye Precious Kids, understand the experiences of families caring
for children with disabilities, and make a visible difference through service.

During the two-hour service project, volunteers will:
• Assemble 50 Precious Care Family Kits for families supported by Skye Precious Kids.
• Organize and package practical medical and daily-care essentials.
• Include child comfort and engagement items designed to promote connection and
emotional well-being.
• Prepare caregiver wellness items that provide encouragement and acknowledge the
demands of caregiving.
• Include SPK resource information so families are aware of continued support and
community resources.
• Write personal notes of encouragement for families receiving the kits.
• Package each kit in a durable, useful tote with Rotary Alpharetta and Skye Precious Kids
recognition.

This is a unique environment for us to connect and bond with each other as we stand side by side in service of the Vision Warriors men and women.

PROJECT: Vision Warriors Meal Cooking, Serving and Fellowship

WHEN: 1st Thursday of the Month

TIME:  4:00 Prepare meal

6:15 Serve and eat meal together

7:00-8:00 Optional: Fellowship and Solidarity; stay for the VW member meeting

LOCATION:  Vision Warriors men’s house, about 20 minutes from downtown Alpharetta in Cherokee County at 1709 Old Country Place, Woodstock, GA 30188. Follow the gravel drive to the large dorm like building at the back of the property.

ORGANIZATION MISSION: Our mission is to end addiction. The statistics related to drug overdoses on opiates alone is staggering. It is estimated that in 2017 nearly 49,000 people died from overdose caused by opiates alone and that number is rising. As an American you are more likely to die from an overdose than a car crash, or gun violence.  The treatment of this affliction is multifaceted, we believe it should not bankrupt a person or family, and that a safe sober environment should be available to anyone who wants to recover.

Remember.. we get to cook- and they get to clean!!
