At the Alpharetta Rotary Club meeting on Friday, 04/05/2013, President-Elect Dan Merkel ran the meeting while President Bill Weeks was on vacation, the club inducted Lorenzo Garcia as a new member; Lauri Young provided sunshine for the club, and Amber McKeen of Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta was the guest speaker and spoke to the club about child abuse issues.

Amber McKeen gave an outstanding and thought-provoking presentation about child abuse and child trafficking in the Atlanta area. She presented facts and statistics that revealed the true size of the issue that we are facing in our city. She also discussed some of the programs that are working to help improve the problem.
