2026-05-08 18:00:00Z	May 08, 2026	On The Green Concert Series	May 08, 2026 6:00 p.m. - Sep. 30, 2026 10:00 p.m.	On The Green Downtown Alpharetta	2nd and 4th Friday’s May thru September We feature great local bands on the Green in downtown Alpharetta. Start time is 6 PM with a young local talent giving them the opportunity to play on real stage. Typically, these are like the School of Rock or Bach2Rock featuring local High School Students. At 7PM we have an opener which is usually a good local band and then at 8 pm we have a headliner. Most of these bands are popular and play a lot in the local music scene. Average crowd size is about 500 people. Folks are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and set up early. The city has an open container law so people are allowed to walk around and enjoy a beer or glass of wine.	View

Volunteers are needed year-round to deliver nutritious meals Monday through Friday to older adults who have difficulty preparing, accessing, or affording food. For clients needing weekend support, two extra meals are delivered on Fridays to be stored and reheated as needed. In addition, all recipients receive three “shelf-stable meals” each year to keep on hand for days when inclement weather prevents delivery. Your time makes a real difference—offering both sustenance and a friendly face to those who need it most. Location: Fire Station #86 - 3275 Kimball Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022. Volunteer Roles: Home Cooking – Lasagna is being served (we need someone to help with this too). Everyone else, please prepare a home cooked dish (side, salad, or dessert) and bring it to the Fire Station warm and ready to serve. Serving – Dinner starts at 5 PM, dish up meals, refill drinks, and keep serving stations stocked Hospitality/Socializing – chat with firemen, make them feel welcome, and offer table assistance Clean-Up Crew – clear tables, wash dishes, wipe surfaces, and tidy kitchen area after dinner Items Needed: Home-prepared dishes to complement Lasagna (sides, salads, desserts) If you have any questions please contact Rena Olsen - 770-634-1279.
